Privacy

TruthPreacher is run by Henk Kruger. This page explains the privacy choices involved in reading and using this site.

Reading and searching

You can read without an account. This site has no active contact-form submission, newsletter signup, new-comment submission or payment processing. We have not added analytics or advertising trackers.

Search and filters run in your browser. Search words and filter choices can appear in the page address and your browser history. Like other page requests, those addresses may be visible to the hosting service, together with technical information such as your IP address and browser details needed to deliver and protect the site.

Preferences on your device

Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser until you clear this site's stored data. The teaching library also remembers your results during the browser session so you can return to them after reading. These preferences are not sent to an analytics service. You can clear them using your browser's site-data controls.

Scripture previews

BibleGateway supplies Scripture previews. Moving a mouse over a Scripture link, focusing it with the keyboard, or tapping it can load BibleGateway's service. This sends a request for the passage to a third party, which receives technical request information such as your IP address and browser details. BibleGateway may use cookies or similar technologies according to its own privacy notice.

The preview service is not loaded automatically when you open a page. Following a Scripture link can also take you to BibleGateway. TruthPreacher does not save the returned preview text or keep a reading-profile account for you.

Videos

Playing an embedded video connects to YouTube. Video posters are served by TruthPreacher; the YouTube player is loaded only when you choose Watch video. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain. Once loaded, YouTube receives technical request information and may use cookies or similar technologies under Google's privacy policy. Privacy-enhanced mode does not make playback anonymous.

Videos do not autoplay. You can also follow the clearly labelled YouTube link, including when JavaScript is disabled.

Archived comments and other websites

Some teachings preserve earlier public comments, including the commenter's display name, date and words. Email addresses, IP addresses and private moderation details are not displayed. New comments are closed.

Links to Facebook, book retailers, Living Waters and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Purchases and messages on those services are handled there, not by a payment or messaging system on TruthPreacher.
